Leak-free so far
Haven’t had a leak yet! My four-month-old is 16 lbs and fits in the smallest setting on the size 2. I use the cover with both flats and prefolds. I have a couple Thirsties with Velcro and prefer these ones with the snaps, although both work.
Thinner than other brands
Especially the leg gussets are thinner compared to other brands such as Rumparooz or Osocozy. Sometimes unbuttoning the buttons feels like the fabric will rip. In general, I would buy elsewhere, but I needed the larger sizes, so I had to go with Thirsties.
Good Quality
I have been using Thristies Duo Wrap for 4.5 years. On my third baby and I am stilling using some I used on my first baby. I am extremely satisfied with the quality and durability of diaper cover.
Generous Diaper Covers
I struggled to find a diaper cover for my toddler, other brands didn't seem to fit him. These are generous in size more than other brands. I like that my 4-month-old baby can use them because they are easy to adjust. I love to support made-in-the-USA products.
Love these shells
I have been using these with my daughter since she was born. She outgrew the size one much earlier than the weight estimate suggests, like around 10 pounds. We were using another brand of shells after that but quickly purchased the size 2 of the duo wrap to replace them. These are much better quality and fit her better! The velcro are so convenient. I don't know how they would hold up for multiple kids but so far so good. We have some snaps and some velcro, love them both! Can't recommend highly enough.
Flexible, simple, and easier than you think
We bought a lot of different Thirsties diapers as first time parents because we weren't sure what we'd need and wanted to have options. 22 months in, the Duo Wrap covers, paired with the Duo Hemp Prefolds, are our go-to diapers for everyday use. The hemp prefolds are quite thin but super absorbent, and for us that puts these ahead of the One Size All In Ones - which are (very slightly) easier for visiting relatives to use but not nearly as absorbent (unless you add another hemp insert). Because you can reuse these covers a couple of times if they're just wet, you can get a bunch of prefolds and half as many of the covers and not really worry about running out. So, while you'll need to do the math yourself based on what you think you may need, the Duo Wraps + Duo Hemp Prefolds may wind up being the most economical of the options as well. Don't be scared of prefolds! These covers make it hard to mess up. We just do a simple trifold and fan it out a bit in the back in case of messes, lay down the Duo Wrap inside facing up on the changing table, put the trifold down inside, scoot it under the baby/plop the baby down on top and snap him in. Takes almost no time and not much more effort than all in ones, really. The only drawback we've found is that our daycare doesn't like to reuse the wraps, so we run out more quickly when he's in daycare than we do at home. :(
